CHILDREN'S TEAM LEADER

Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round

Position Description:
As a full time staff member, you will serve as part of Youth Haven's core team, working in our children's program each week. You will lead a team of children during their experiences at Youth Haven and share your time and heart with them! In addition to team leading during our weekend retreats, you will also have an opportunity to help creatively with theme development, activities, and implementation of our children's retreats, follow-up programs, Birthday Brigade, and Kids' Club after school outreach.

Our children's team leaders see themselves as missionaries, serving God in home missions. As such, they are passionate about the opportunities they have to share their faith and be the hands and feet of Jesus to the children Youth Haven serves.

Principal Responsibilities:

Be the spiritual, emotional and physical leader of a team of boys or girls during their stay at Youth Haven

Assist with Kids' Club after school outreach

Help lead children & activities during day camps

Assist with sending follow-up materials to the children

Assist with program planning and contribute creative ideas for themes, activities, decorations, web site content, and other aspects of our children's program

Help keep the grounds and facilities clean and in good condition for the children

Must love Jesus and have an active, growing relationship with Him!

A sincere and deep commitment to Youth Haven's mission and core values, understanding the opportunity to be involved with Youth Haven as a home mission

Be a high energy person and desire to have fun!

Complete a weekend orientation and volunteer session after you submit your application

Be able to relocate to either Michigan or Arizona campus and live in provided housing
