"Your camp is awesome. I liked the zip line in the summer. You have nice leaders.
I think it is the best camp I have ever been to!"
A week at camp can have a powerful impact in the life of a child! That's why we're excited to offer free summer camps for disadvantaged children between the ages of 8 and 13. We know many children would never have a chance to go to summer camp if they had to pay for their stay. Some are living in low income or single parent homes, while others are in foster care or living with relatives. Perhaps they are victims of abuse or neglect, or have experienced some kind of tragic loss in their lives. Our desire is to provide a safe, loving environment for these kids, where they can leave their day-to-day struggles behind and have fun with other kids their age, who understand their circumstances. Our staff are like big brothers and big sisters - positive role models they can turn to and depend on. And they'll learn that the God who created the universe loves them and has a special plan for their lives!
Most of our summer camps are Monday through Friday, and every day is packed with fun activities! The children participate in camp activities as a team of 5-7 kids, an adult team leader, and a teen volunteer. They sleep in comfortable dorms with bunk beds, and all linens are provided. They eat their fill of delicious food, prepared and served with a smile by our fabulous chef - who has also been known to bake up a treat or two throughout the week.
