With the start of a new school year comes another season of Kids’ Club! Each week throughout the fall, winter and spring, our staff have an opportunity to serve children in specific low-income housing communities.
Kids’ Club is a free program that reaches out to kids right where they live by taking Youth Haven to them! The families in the communities we work with are struggling to make ends meet, and often the children’s needs are not being met as a result. We provide food, fun games and activities for them to do, toys and gifts, and caring adults who model the love of Christ. Our staff share engaging stories and lessons based on biblical truth, and each child also receives a Youth Haven Trailbook (Bible).
Many of the kids are excited to come every week, which allows us to be a steady positive influence in their lives. It’s also a great opportunity to invite them to our on-site programs, and we have even been able to bring some of those kids to a weekend retreat!
