Looking Ahead

A Letter from the President

Dear Friends,

President Lars Carlson

It’s hard to believe we’re now into 2019 and our 51st year of ministry to disadvantaged children! 2018 was a wonderful year of reflecting on God’s faithfulness throughout Youth Haven’s history. Yet I was constantly reminded that, while God has blessed so faithfully and we’ve seen so many wonderful things over the past 50 years, the need for Youth Haven is only increasing. There’s so much ahead of us!

As the third generation leader of this ministry, I’m excited to see all God has in store! I believe He is going to open some doors to allow us to reach more children with the Gospel and become more effective in what we do.

Requests for help come into our office almost daily, sharing many details of the underprivileged children in our culture and what they’re dealing with. It would break your heart to read them. My team and I are committed to helping as many of them as we possibly can.

I’m asking each of you to stand with us in two specific ways. First, please be in prayer, not only for the children we have the privilege to serve, but for all the children in our country. They face so many challenges and pressures. As followers of Christ, we have a responsibility to stand in the gap for them.

Second, would you please prayerfully consider how God would have you involved as a financial partner with us this month and this year? Because all disadvantaged children come to Youth Haven free of charge, additional children do not equal additional income. We are trusting God to provide the funds needed for growth and expansion opportunities. Your partnership is vital!

Thank you so much for your support and encouragement. I am so blessed to call each of you friends and partners in this work to reach America’s disadvantaged children with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Your Ministry Partner,

Lars Carlson, President & CEO
