There's no better place to be at Christmas time than Youth Haven!

Between Thanksgiving and the New Year, our campuses become a Christmas wonderland! A new group of excited kids will join us each weekend for all of our fun weekend activities, plus a few extra-special Christmas surprises! Kids who come to a Christmas retreat at Youth Haven will experience:

Christmas retreats for underprivileged youth

  • delicious, home-cooked food, including breakfast in bed and a fancy Christmas dinner
  • Christmas crafts and activities
  • cozy dorms and bunk beds with warm, clean bedding
  • stories and skits about the true meaning of Christmas
  • singing Christmas carols and learning the story of Jesus' birth
  • a birthday party for Jesus, complete with singing “Happy Birthday," blowing out candles, and enjoying a piece of birthday cake!
  • gifts of hats, gloves, and personal hygiene items

And no Christmas celebration would be complete without... toys! Many of the children who come to Youth Haven during the Christmas season are experiencing financial hardships at home, and there simply isn't a lot of money to buy gifts and toys. Thanks to so many wonderful friends who donate toys to Youth Haven, we are able to make Christmas joyful for these boys and girls by giving them their own, brand new toys. It's a very practical way for us to show them they are loved!
