Fun Ways to Fundraise
Here are just a few ways you and your church congregation, youth group, small group, ladies’ ministry, Sunday School class, or family might participate in fun activities to raise funds for children in need. • Penny or Coin Drive (this is especially fun for children in Vacation Bible School or Sunday School classes) Individual Opportunities: • Meijer Community Rewards automatically contributes a percentage of your Meijer purchase totals to Youth Haven when you pay with cash or your Meijer credit card. Group Activities:
• Car Wash (a great youth group activity)
• Spaghetti Dinner for families, ladies, couples, or youth, with proceeds being given to Youth Haven
• Ladies’ Tea or other social gathering where ladies collect items such as food and paper products, assemble “goody bags” of personal hygiene items (soap, washcloth, toothpaste, toothbrush, and comb), or give a financial love gift to benefit the children at Youth Haven
• Yard Sales or Auctions where donated items are sold and the profit given to help the Youth Haven children
• Caroling for Cans (Christmas caroling and collecting pop cans at each house, then recycling the cans and giving the money received to Youth Haven)
• Group Sports Event such as bowling, golf, a walk-a-thon, 3-on-3 basketball, etc. where participants gather pledges or pay a registration fee and proceeds help pay the way for children in need to come to Youth Haven
• Vacation Bible School Offering: Kids enjoy helping when they know there is a need. Perhaps your leader might offer them an incentive to get involved by agreeing to do something funny if they reach a certain goal (pie in the face, head shaving, human sundae, outrageous costume, etc.)
• Use www.goodsearch.com as your search engine, specify Youth Haven Ranch (Rives Junction, MI) as your charity of choice, and Youth Haven will receive 1¢ each time you do an Internet search.
• Share Youth Haven with people you know! We are happy to provide brochures and an informational DVD for you to use.
• Host a Dinner for friends you think might like to learn more about Youth Haven, and a representative from our ministry will gladly come and share about the Youth Haven outreach.
