Follow-up Programs
Once boys and girls become a part of the Youth Haven outreach they find new meaning in life. The children discover that they are valuable, regardless of what they might have been told in the past. This is a change that can last a lifetime, especially with the continued influence of caring adults.
Children receive guidance and nurturing that they so desperately need from our dedicated Christian staff. Deserving children who have participated in the Youth Haven programs automatically become part of our follow-up outreach, aimed at helping them remember all they have learned while at Youth Haven. Boys and girls receive age specific follow-up mail, including games, puzzles, and Bible stories in the “Ranch Review” and “Teen Trails.” Kids receive handwritten letters and birthday cards from our staff members and are offered many opportunities to return through the years.
Even on into their teens, they may return as Ranchers during Teen Week, one week each summer dedicated to activities and Bible studies for teens. Another area of follow-up is our Leaders in Training Program, which targets former Ranchers who are now in their teens. This program offers teens an opportunity to continue to grow in their faith through close contact with our Christian staff, at the same time allowing them to share their own experiences and insights with younger Ranchers.
